I've Got No Strings!

Harper had an ortho appointment last week, and guess what?!?!
Her left hip finally normalized!!!!

Yeah!

She is now completely out of the brace!
She will have a check up in a couple months to make sure it is still looking good.  And then one when she learns walk, a year after that, and when she starts school....but we are so grateful to know that for now her hip is doing well!

She is enjoying her new found freedom, although I think she's still trying to adjust to her muscles stretching (it seemed to make her a little sore at first).  She has discovered her toes, which are fascinating to her, but she's not quite sure what to do with the long legs.  Especially at night.  Our little baby that has slept so soundly at night since she was born, is now waking up quite often...and staying up.  I think she liked the comfort of being pulled into a ball.  Hopefully she will adjust soon, but diaper changing and clothes changing has never been so easy!  In fact, the first thing Harper did when we brought her home without the brace was to have a blowout!  It took me less than five minutes to clean up and change her
(that's down from the hour and a half it took me to change her clothes under the brace on my first try a few months ago).

Anyway, life is good and we are happy to be done with the pavlic harness.
