...turned into a pumpkin extravaganza!
I made Jack-O-Lantern soup,
but the first pumpkin we cut open was rotten.
Ew. No soup for that one.
Russ (and his ever-so-helpful helper, Lauren) turned it into this beauty:
Lauren decorated a pumpkin of her own...
And Ella wanted her own too...
That left a much smaller pumpkin for the soup,
but it worked out anyway
(plus I made more "eyeballs" for the soup...can't go wrong there).
Apparently there were a couple of amateur
photographers helping take pictures.

Lauren took this one

in this case "hummus" beans)

What type of soup? Whatever it is, sounds yummy!
It's a veggie/pasta soup. It has garbanzo beans in it which Lauren loves. I added meatballs this time (although it was the first time I've ever done that). I got the recipe from Aunt Debbie years ago, but only recently rediscovered it. In fact, I make it almost every week because its one of the few things that sound good to me this pregnancy...I'll send you the recipe if you'd like. It's super easy and makes yummy leftovers.
I love the ice in the soup! When I'm sick I intentionally make Top Ramen without enough liquid so I can use ice cubes to cool it off. Hope all is going well!
