Remember Us?

So there's a long saga about why my last post was clear back in September. It involves dropping our laptop, being too cheap to get it fixed, the mad rush of the holiday season, a dissertation on multivalent strategies, and a move to Seattle. If it sounds like a whirlwind, it has been. But now that we've arrived at today, things are changing. Actually, they have already changed. The difference with today is that a guy came and turned on the cable, and I can now tell you about it.
Three weeks ago, we packed everything into a 17' truck (well, almost everything) and drove to Seattle. Russ is now done with school (well almost...I still have to edit the dissertation and he still has to defend it). But they let us drive away so that Russ could start a new job at U-dub (University of Washington). So far it's been great...and football season hasn't even started! I feel like I'm on vacation...except that the room service isn't so great and the boxes don't want to unpack themselves. Seattle is a great place...you'll hear plenty about it in the future. I'd like to point out that we've seen the sun everyday and have not seen any raindrops (I hear back home they haven't been so lucky).
Anyway, I'm excited to keep connected with friends and family this way. Ella's changed a little since my last post. Here she is now (hair styling courtesy of Lauren, makeup courtesy of mom):

And then there is the rest of us...

Boo that you left! Yay that you love it!

My MTC companion lives in Seattle. If you meet Amy Anderson Hale (husband is Scott Hale), say hi for me. I saw Paul and Rachel tonight. Fun times!
