Hiking to the Lighthouse

We used our free, Sunny day (yesterday) to hike to the lighthouse at Discovery Park.  As we left the parking lot, Eleanor insisted on carrying the water pack.  I snapped a picture of her, but didn't realize how heavy that pack was until she stopped, fell backwards on her bum and couldn't get up again.

Lauren wanted a turn as well.

Overlook of the beach...

Low tide at the beach!!

The girls went way out and got way wet...

What's tide pooling without a little yoga?

Here is Eleanor washing off her belly...

And her back...

The girls were wet, sandy, and tired, but did not complain the whole hike back up the bluff.
Lauren even found an incredibly tall "wishing" flower.

If Eleanor looks tired in the last picture, it's because she is.
She made it two feet into the house and curled up to fall asleep.

Fabulous day!
