Birthday Girl

We just celebrated Lauren's 4th birthday and what a celebration it was!  Lauren new exactly what she wanted...even picked out her own card, helped make her cake, and reminded me to get the balloons.

I love this picture...Lauren got all the paper off the present, but left the ribbon!

She was way too excited to slow down and ask for help:

And then there was the close call with the cake.  While Lauren and I were downstairs looking through some boxes, Ella pushed a chair over to the counter and was gazing dreamily at the cake. You can't see it here, but her red toddler fork is sitting next to the cake too.  I'm sure she had some plans to use it...

Happy, Happy Birthday Lauren!  You have brought so much Sunshine to our lives.  Daddy couldn't have picked a better nickname for you.  We love you, Sunshine!
