The First Half

I finished my first half marathon this morning! It was a great experience. I feel like I got hit by a truck....everything hurts right now. But if I felt better I would be telling myself I could have run faster. I am happy with my time too: 2 hours and 19 minutes. Eleven minutes faster than my goal! The Rock'n Roll Seattle marathon and half marathon was an incredibly well organized event...I have to say I was impressed with everything from the course to the volunteers to the bands that played along the course. I couldn't believe they had music blasting from the middle of the I-90 tunnel! It was so loud! I loved running along Lake Washington and down the I-90 express lanes into the city (what scenery!). Great memories for sure. Russ was waiting for me at the finish line...although it took me a long time to find him. But he saw me cross the finish line and snapped a few pictures. Look carefully (I'm wearing hot pink)...there was a ton of people:
