Daddy's Little Angel

When it comes to "Daddy's Girls," we've got two of the best.
Take church last Sunday for example.
Russ went to the front of the chapel to sing with the choir.
Ella immediately threw a tantrum.
(I expected nothing less)
I was prepared with graham crackers, pretzels, a book, a stuffed rabbit, and the car keys.
In about 2.2 seconds, Ella had successfully
batted
kicked
swatted
or
thrown
ALL of them.
(Thank you Mia for returning our keys. I hope they didn't hit you.)
I scooped up Ella and moved toward the door as
gracefully
as one can while holding a siren that
pierces
the silent reverie of the chapel.
*sigh*
I stepped over Lauren
(who was pretending to be
a rock
by hiding under my coat)
and smiled as though none of it was happening.
*sigh*
But just so there was no mistake about it,
Ella made full use of the
TIME
it took me to walk down the aisle
by yelling
"DA-DA DADDY!"
and
clawing
DESPERATELY
at the air in the direction of her beloved Daddy.
I'm sure the laughter I heard as I stepped out the door was
NOT
the result of the choir director telling jokes.
*sigh*
Maybe they'll let Ella join the choir.

Trying not to laugh but can't help it. Ella always cracks me up! She is so entertaining to watch. We sure miss you guys!

Sorry to hear that happened. I am sure later you got a chuckle about it. Our little guy will sit quietly in Matt's arms during church but not mine. There is something about fathers.
