Stats

Lauren had her 6 month appointment today. She weighs 17 lbs 11 oz and was 27.5 inches long. That puts her at 77% for her weight and 94% for her height. Her head is a nice 44.3 cm which is 88%. Isn't it funny how exciting the stats can be? I anticipate the doctor appointments for weeks wondering how the stats will come in. I set reminders on my calendar at work to count down the days. I place bets with Dad as to how big she is (and if we're keeping score, I've won every time). The funny thing is that with all that anticipation, I never take Lauren to her appointments...that's Daddy's job. I'm usually at work earning the health insurance. I'd love to go with Lauren, but I'd rather save my time off to be with her when she's sick and only Mommy can make her feel better.

Lauren seems to have a good time at the doctor's office. Except the part about the shots. But then again, she gets lots of love and sympathy from Daddy when she cries so it can't be that bad. She came home with a tongue depressor today. The doctor let her keep it because Lauren refused to let go of it. At her last visit to the doctor's she became the star of the show. Dad said she was very ticklish and giggled and giggled. All the nurses loved it. I can't blame them. Lauren has a smile that melts your heart.
