One of my favorite parts of the day is when Lauren wakes up in the morning. I’m usually getting ready for work when I hear the singing and talking from the nursery. When I go check on her, her eyes are still shut but she talks and talks. As soon as I say “Good morning, baby,” she breaks into a huge smile (eyes still closed). Then she starts the process of getting those heavy eyelids to open…after several long, hard blinks she wakes up with an even bigger smile. Sometimes she’ll pull herself into a ball and squeal because she's so excited…I feel so important when she sees me in the morning.
