The Princess and the Frog

Lauren was Sleeping Beauty for Halloween...

and we borrowed this fabulous frog costume for Ella:

Here is the lovely princess with all her accessories sitting so refined on the couch:

And here comes the frog ready to play...

Everyone knows something magical happens when the princess kisses the frog:

In our case, it resulted in a wrestling match because the frog did not want to be kissed. We consider ourselves lucky that no one got hurt and no one fell off the couch.

Sleeping Beauty once again:

Labor Day

We spent part of Labor Day hiking Snoqualmie Falls. I forgot the camera, so I took these pictures with my cell phone. Not to shabby for a phone that's been bathed, slobbered on, and dropped in beach sand.

Happy Birthday Ella!!

I've been slow in getting the pictures of Ella's Birthday posted, but here they are! We had a fun little party with our family. Here is Ella anxiously waiting for Dad to come home and the party to start (photo courtesy of Lauren): My first version of the smash cake:
Then I realized the candies were probably a choke hazard, so I pulled them off and made the cake Ella-safe.
Singing "Happy Birthday"
Ella ate a cheerio off the cake and got her hand dirty. She didn't want anything else to do with the cake.
While I was busy taking pictures of Ella with her smash cake, I heard Russ say, "Are ya going for the good part?" Apparently he was talking to Lauren who had definitely found the "good part:"
Big Sis always with the helping hands:
One of the best parts of the day was that Dad came home from work early and we had extra time to spend at the locks. Here's Lauren enjoying the sunset.

Egg Coloring

Here are my favorite pictures from Easter. Uncle Pable and Aunt Rachie coloring eggs with the twins:

Easter

Here are a bunch of Easter pictures. I mentioned before that we were all sick for Easter, but we did get in a little bit of fun the Friday before at Grandma and Grandpa's (before we all got sick):

We played baseball with eggs filled with confetti. I hit a homerun (right into the neighbor's yard). Grandpa says the grass still has confetti and egg in it.

Then we got to look for Easter eggs. Someone discovered what was in the eggs and started sneaking them early (no, it was not any of the grandkids, was it Uncle Pablo?).

We also colored eggs:

Happy Easter

I haven't gotten around to posting our Easter pictures yet. We don't have many. We all had the stomach flu over Easter weekend. It hit Lauren first on Friday night when we were on our way to my parent's house for an Easter dinner. We were only 5 minutes away when she lost everything she had eaten that day. We when arrived, we stripped her down, gave her a bath, and threw everything (including all washable pieces of the car seat) into the wash. Here she is with Grandpa after coming out of the bath:

She perked up for a while, but lost it again right before we left. It was an adventurous weekend. One to remember.

Flashback

Here's a flashback to a family Christmas Party. The photo was taken by my sister Brooke. I think Santa and I will always remember this one :)

Lauren and Megan

I wanted to use this as my header, but for some reason it shows up really tiny when I post it. Anyway, I think it's darling. This is Lauren's cousin Megan helping her drink her milk on Christmas Eve.
